Encounter #71: Je Veux Te Voir (encore)

I put the old video up over here. This is the new version. There's no more singalong subtitles but there are exercise balls, short shorts, neon colors and, still, all that talk about dicks in action in pornographic flicks. Yes? --RWK

Sheek Louch: Good Love

I dont really care about the song, but Michael K. Williams has a spot in the video, so I feel a need to support it.

I could step out here right now
and my bus could flip over

Songs #8: Bossy Coyote

she's a boss!
Here's a little something to chill you out, oddly enough. Listen to it laying down with your eyes closed. --RWK

[Pic: you love to hate her, especially here.]

Encounter #70: When I grow old.

My friend Kevin put this clip up when Edward Yang died last summer. It's not because I missed seeing The Terrorizer on Friday, nor is it because I'll probably have to miss A Brighter Summer Day this Wednesday, but I've been thinking about Yi Yi a lot recently. It's just so gentle. It's the kind of film I want more of in my life. At a bar tonight my friend Cam was talking about how he wanted to watch a Hayao Miyazaki movie that wasn't Mononoke Hime but was similar to it -- that he hadn't seen -- even though he knows it doesn't exist. I should have told him to watch this picture. Instead we talked about how great John From Cincinnati is... go figure. (I think it makes sense, though.) --RWK

Encounter #69: One Shot

Starring Baron Davis, directed by Emmanuelle Chriqui. That's a lifestyle. He's easily the coolest NBA player. --RWK
