Genius Marketing #51: Sita sings online

After much copyright deliberation (headaches), Nina Paley has announced that her film, Sita Sings the Blues, will air for public consumption: first, you can stream the entire film at Reel13 (now), and then, second, it will be available in a variety of qualities "free to copy and share" after it airs March 7th at 1045pm as part of Reel 13 on WNET TV. Once I'm done with a few projects, I definitely plan on watching the film and, if moved, writing about its flash fun. --RWK [via sean]

Considerable linear extent in space #6: I like number four

I hate to do this to you, and turn this failed attempt at a column into a Kobe highlight reel all the time, but well, here's some more amazing: via BDL, the top ten Kobe plays so far in the 08-09 season. Number four came in that 61-point game, and it was my favorite move of the night. It remains my favorite of all the feats here. It's just smart. And slick. Those 360s and behind the backs are pretty dope, too, tho... --RWK

Encounter #133: "Just stood in the corner..."

Real friends, real different sizes. A real foot-to-belly pet. A real good way to start the weekend. --RWK [via Bill]

Genius Marketing #50: Gallo in a Coppola (not sexual)

tetro!
FFC has a new movie and that new movie has a new website. CLICK HERE! to see a vlog by FFC himself in his Napa Valley home rapping about the project in a few too-close close-ups and dropping bombs like "Gallo's mad brilliant, son." Or something. I wanna see this thing. It's also got that lady who played sex with Gael and Diego in that Alfonso Cuaron movie. --RWK

Terrible Marketing #49: Chris Quinn is HARD

look at me!
I'm sorry. --RWK

No Capes vol. 7 (part two)

I can't really make out the subtitles, but I'm not complaining. Everybody needs to stretch more.

What up Ny? Too Cool for School

While my co-host kicks it in BK with dancing women, and refuses to answer my hypothetical text questions (no matter how vulgar), I sit in the Mission, with R, Bill and Cuddles and watch this video over a game of Dominoes. I know this shit is old-ish, and there's that bouncing balls Sony cover by Jose Gonzalez, (think Zach Braff) ... but this opening with the bird coming out of the bushes transition is straight great-ness.
