(Odd) Genius (?) Marketing #45: (500) parentheses
The cinetrix has already thrown up about this lil nugget of intrigue. And she's got a dialectic thing going. Me? I've just got a lil confusion and mouth-watered wide eyes that say, rather simply, I'd like to see this thing. No doubt it will be a hit. Unless it's super weird, by some chance, and it alienates rather than invites its target audience of swooners. One can hope, I suppose, given the tone of the trailer's narration (and genuinely ironic construction, minus that dumb song of goo), if not some of the maybe-maudlin moments highlighted. --RWK

Ciroc Obama vs Barack Obama (via Nahright)
Diddy released this 4 year old interview today. Amazing. Diddy is actually hilarious in it and at the end, yes, addresses future Mr. President´s constant sweating. Very cute interview, very appropriate for today. Im very happy for today.

Reclamation #4?
Design Poach #7!
As in marketing for the country. And, these guys. And, Paste Magazine. I shoulda made one of a lady. And, probably, more Americans. But, well, these are the pix I have on my hard drive. You can make your own posters by clicking here. --RWK

Encounter #127: Slightly out of fashion.
My new friend Jocelyn is a super David Byrne fangirl. When I arrived at her apartment last night after one of the best birthday parties I've ever been to, she had this album playing SUPER loud. I sat on the couch and drank it in all silent. I felt it so hard I fell asleep in its audible arms. (Then I went home.) They may be old, but these guys do know sounds. They know life. You can download the single, "Strange Overtones," at the webpage right here, which is where I got this code to embed. You can also pay to download the album, which I should have a while ago, but I've been streaming it every time I want to hear it. And, given its resonance with my new New York life, that may happen more, and that may translate into MP3s for those sometimes-interminable train rides. It's snowing here. --RWK

Rap: 15 years ago
This interview may not be the most interesting thing he produced, but the ability to watch him be simultaneously nervous and HARD, is worth the shitty Q´s hes forced to answer. I wont post that NAs and Jeezy video for the song I posted before (maybe link there to my pres is black) or to the new Q-Tip, but I am happy about tomorrow, and i might try to find a TV in España to watch the man live. Take care yall.
And this
its a Nas track produced by Kanye that is really weird, but sorta worth a spin.
